Excellent boot
I tried some K2's and they were generally too tight, then tried the Burton Rulers and wanted to like them but they cut off circulation at the top of the foot (got pretty good arches on my feet). So I finally got these DC Judges and it felt like my foot sank into a custom bed of heaven. I think even said, "Wow" to myself when I first put them on. The arch support was perfect, ankle stability was great, heel lift was minimized, wow! The only downside was that I had ordered an 11 (about a half size up from my actual shoe size) and my toes were still touching the end of the boot. So I returned them for 11.5's (a full size larger) and they were perfect. Hitting the mountain, it was nice to be able to dial in the ideal tightness in the upper and lower zones using the BOA coilers, and not having to mess with laces. I will say that the coilers work well most of the time, but occasionally they do pop and cinch loose and need tightening again. The other minor downside is that the inner lining lace clamp is hard to deal with, really stiff, and doesn't secure the laces all that well. But with the upper ankle velcro powerstrap and the coilers, it didn't really matter that much. Otherwise, the Blue Magic soles, and the greatfeel of the inner liner and the overall construction makes for an excellent boot that I am really happy I found after all that hunting. Small note- I have Burton Mission EST bindings and these boots are wider than the typical Burton boot, so these DC's rub up against the back heel sides of the binding and I have to step down a bit to get them in, but once they're in, they're snug. Not sure if that will wear away at the heels of the boots over time, but it still won't affect the performance...

Dual Boa Goodness.
I've had these boots for one year now, and I've gotten a taste of the broken in goodness. I've tried tinkered with boots of different brands (broken in and new), and for the $210 I paid I'm very glad I bought these. I ride all mountain and do jumps.Pros: - Dual boas gets your boot cinched down nicely - Accommodating to wide feet - Insulates 'just right' for me (I don't get cold just sitting on the lifts, and I don't get extremely sweaty) - Traction works, within reason. - Matches my DC skate shoe sizeCons: - Unmercifully tight out of the box. Getting in and out into the boots was extremely difficult, requiring lots of stomping/hopping or pushing. This also makes it extremely uncomfortable at first. After a year of riding, I can get in and out with some resistance. - Still get heel lift every now and then.

Disappointing
Extremely disappointed in the performance of the boots. They are very hard to slip on and difficult to remove. My foot and ankle slip within the boot. I have a 5 yr old pair of this boot in the same size that fits and performs much better. I will not purchase another DC boot.

Best Boot I've owned so far
I really like the boot so far. The dual zone boa system works better than any of the laced, or speed lace systems that I've used so far. There are no pinch points, the boots don't loosen up, and adjusting tightness is quick and painless. I've only used these boots 5 times, and have already noticed some wear from wear the cables run over the tongue. We'll see how long the boots hold up.I primarily board in the woods, and backcountry. My equipment doesn't tend to survive long as most other boarders.

This is my second pair
I had the older version of these when BOA was still pretty new. In my days riding, I have gone thru numerous boots, bindings, and boards and when I rode on the original pair of these boots the first time it made the biggest difference out of any of the gear I have ever used. This year's version has only been improved upon. They are very stiff which is great for me as I am usually trying to max out my speed either on the front side of the mountain or thru the backcountry, no matter where on the mountain you are these are super responsive. I do not spend a lot of time (ok, none) in the park so I cannot comment there. They are light and have a real comfy inner boot that you can lace up and cinch down, then easily dial in the BOA laces for a perfectly comfortable fit right out of the box... yea, no need to worry about a few painful days breaking these guys in. The yellow is super steezy too. Maybe buy a half-size larger than your shoe size. I wear a 10.5 and an 11 in these fit perfectly.

DC Judge boots are a Perfect, Exact Size match as my old boots.
After finding limited reviews and comments about ordering 1 size over your sneaker/shoe size I was apprehensive about the boots fitting correctly. Turns out they are a exact size match to my previous Liquid LS3 size 10 boots. So if you already have proper size snowboarding boots, I can suggest getting these DC Judge boots in the same size as your old ones. The inner boot has a pull cord which wraps and holds your ankle down with a non removable mesh net. This helped kept my heel down nicely. A bonus I did not know was part of the boot. The ability to separate the tension between the upper and lower foot is awesome. I generally keep the lowers at the same tightness and can adjust the uppers on the fly. So when I want less support and more flexibility for walking/hiking or the terrain park I pull the top dial out and it instantly loosens for more flex. Also, it only takes a few seconds to tighten each dial.

DC Judge Fan
We have been riding DC judges since they first came out. When my boys were little I remember my fingers freezing in the parking lot while trying to lace up their "old school" snowboard boots. Once this boa system came out I never had to help the boys with their gear again. I was surprised that these boots were too small for my husband. We purchased the same size as his last DC judge boots. I've switched to the DC Mora and kept the same size. I'm worried about ordering a half size up incase this particular pair has a size glitch. If your feet hurt while snowboarding, then your not riding DC Judges (with Burton Cartel Bindings)!
