Pest Soldier 6-in-1 Sentinel, Outdoor Electronic Pest Animal Ultrasonic Repeller, with Ac Adaptor for Deer Raccoon Rabbits Birds

I have researched and read (mixed) reviews on ultrasonic repellents. However, with a deer problem in my landscaped back yard, I decided to purchase this one out of desperation. My first impression was that it is relatively cheaply made (lightweight, 'plasticy' feel to it, didn't seem like it would last outdoors very long).Since I have close neighbors, I knew I would be unable to use the audible portion of this device (I understand it may serve as an additional deterrent, but I simply could not use it). I was thus force to use the ultrasonic feature only.Before I placed it outside, I did a quick test indoors with my cat. While he was sleeping about 5 feet away from me, I turned on the ultrasonic feature and sweep the entire frequency range designated for 'cats'. The result was that my cat did not awaken or even move- not a good sign. When combined with the audible signal however, he did open his eyes and seemed to be in an alert/somewhat startled state. He did not leave the room however- just kept looking at the device, then me.With these discouraging, yet inconclusive results, I placed the device outside in ultrasonic-only mode. Much to my dismay, deer damage was found several days later in close proximity to it. No matter how badly I wanted this to work, it just did not. I ended up returning the unit for a full refund. I can not recommend this and will not try another ultrasonic deterrent device..IMPORTANT UPDATE (July 2017): Upon writing my negative (but very honest) review, the manufacturer contacted me via email and asked me to DELETE my review from Amazon's website. When I did not respond, they then offered me to refund the product and give me an Amazon Gift Card- but only if I removed my review. I was shocked and absolutely cannot believe this is an ethical business practice which is allowed on Amazon's website. I suspect this explains why this particular product has a disproportionate number of positive reviews as another person mentioned this same practice of being asked to remove her negative review. Buyer Beware!IMPORTANT UPDATE #2 (Sept. 2017): Yet another update- the harassment will not stop from this company! Two days ago (9/21/17) I received yet another email from this company asking me to remove my negative review. I refuse (and really question if a refund would be provided after I need to FIRST remove my negative review). Please know that my initial review did not have a harmful intent against this company or anyone else- it was simply an honest review based on my experiences with it. I have to question the integrity of this company that attempts to bribe user's to remove honest (but negative) reviews. Note to Pest Soldier- please consider improving your product instead of biasing Amazon reviews of your product. Lastly, STOP SPAMMING ME PEST SOLDIER- I will not remove my review so your product appears more favorable to potential Amazon buyers. I am getting irked off! Thanks- Steve

I'm extremely happy with the pest solider we purchased. Our cover patio had birds perching on our fan and light fixtures and was driving my wife nuts. We originally only used the ultrasonic feature and that was effective for one week. After that the birds came back and we turned on the sonic feature as well and that seems to have done the trick. No birds for a month and counting.

We installed this device to keep the squirrels away from a Toyota mini van which has been damaged by squirrels twice in the last couple of months. We actually saw a squirrel run up the driveway, within range of the device, and then take off running in the other direction. It appears that it actually scared them off. It remains to be seen if this will be a permanent solution, but so far, so good.

The Pest Soldier seems to be working. It has only been a short time since we have had it in use and have noticed less digging in the flower beds and pots. We do seem to have one pesky chipmunk that is still burying things in my wife's flowers. We do not have the volume up very loud as it hurts my son's ears. Maybe if we cranked it our little friend would go away.

Our neighbors started raising chickens~along with that comes those little pests that like to eat their food.. I tried this alarm as well as another brand that was a little less expensive. I did like this one a bit better for my client's purpose as the dial allows for selection as to the type of animal one is trying to deter. Both had the option of a silent alarm that only the animal can hear as well as a audible alarm, which is not so great if the user lives in a neighborhood subdivision!

Only been up for 4 days and can see that it is chasing the pigeons away, less poop on the pavement.We put it up by the company loading dock as so we don't have to work in the poop everywhere.Hopefully it will keep them away as it chases more away every day.

This is my third day and it works great. I haven't seen any rabbits in my yard. Solid construction and it looks like a professional grade device.
