Saunders Veterinary Anatomy Flash Cards

I am currently a Veterinary Technology student and I bought these flash cards to help me study. They are super helpful and cover many species, equine, canine, feline, porcine, bovine and avian. The cards all have color pictures with numbered points to guess the names of. Something really nice about these cards is that they will show the same area from multiple views and they even include x-ray views of many joints. If you are a visual learner like I am, I would recommend to purchase these cards with Saunders Veterinary Anatomy Coloring Book as the pictures in the coloring books match the pictures on the cards.

I am a first year veterinary student and I will admit that anatomy is not one of my strong suits. Especially since this is my first time learning all new species! I love these cards. I am a visual learner so reading about anatomy doesn't really help me much, I need to be able to see it. I have tried reading Duke's but that hasn't really helped me very much. I bought these and have been using them as my primary source to study anatomy. The box comes with all different species (equine, dog, cat, pig, cow) no birds though. The cards are also organized into body area like thorax, pelvic limb, and so on. The cards also make them easier to take on the go, you can just take the section and species that you are focusing on put them in your bag and pull them out when you have a few extra minutes between classes.

These flash cards were absolutely fabulous, they just were not helpful in my particular course of school work. They are of great quality, easy to read, and divided into specific categories which is extremely helpful. The cards got into specifics that were not required in the anatomy course I took, and did not cover a lot of the more general items that I was required to learn. If you are taking an anatomy course that requires you to learn very specific muscles/nerves/etc then these will be a great help to you!

The Saunders Veterinary Anatomy Flash Cards are a nice study aid. Each section of the anatomy on the card is a different color making it easier to visualize. The picture is on one side with the part identified on the other. Visual aids makes studying easier for me and the flash cards fit the bill. Good accessory to the coloring book.

I purchased this item for someone who is unable to have books. Long story. I chose this item for the person because they had so much information on them in such a small space. Pictures, diagrams, desciptions, definitions. A lot of education in one little box. Well worth the money and the recipient is over the moon, delighted with the gift of these flashcards. A+++++ will definitely be looking for more items like this in the future.

m vet in Brazil and Im trying to be a vet in USA but when I discovered that I had to learn anatomy again I got in panic. The names sometimes are totally different and it is impossible be a vet and dont know the nome of the organs, vessels, nerves...So I purchase the cards and the book. know Im learning fast. The cards are divided for sessions like head and ventral neck, abdomen... and you can study in the book and practice with the cards. Really good!!!

Love these cards! Not only do they have cartoon looking pictures, they actually have some real pictures of x-Rays and body parts. Must have for any one looking into being a vet or vet tech!

These are ok, but not as good as I expected. The drawings and photos on the cards come out of Dissection of The Dog (Evans/Delahunta), Miller's Anatomy of the Dog, and Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy (Dyce). Each card has several anatomical features numbered, with the answers on the back. The cards are full-color, and the printing is good. 80% or so are based on canine anatomy; the other 20% are horse, bird, cat, pig, cow. Where I feel these flashcards fall short: 1) Because there are several items labelled on each card, once you look at the back, you see the rest of the answers. I expected only one item per card so I could use them as true flashcards. The way these are setup, they are no better than using the pages out of the textbook to quiz yourself. 2) The durability of the cards is poor. They are on lighter stock than I would have expected, and they are not coated. As a result, the corners bend very easily. 3) The box they come in is slightly too small to hold all of them. As a result, the box corner seams were split on arrival. The undersized box also makes it a very tight fit to get the cards in and out easily. Overall: These could have been a good tool, but it doesn't seem like much thought went in to putting them together. If you already have Dissection of the Dog or Anatomy of the Dog, I wouldn't recommend getting these cards.

犬をメインとして、頭・胸部・腹部・腰部・前肢・後肢の臓器について表はイラスト、裏は説明がついてます。ハガキと同じ大きさですごく便利です。ただ詳しすぎて全体像が乗ってないのが少し残念です。種差がある臓器や場所はネコ、ウマウシニワトリのカードもあります。

These cards cover the essential anatomy of all the major veterinary species. The box and cards are good quality and will last indefinitely if treated right. The images are clearly printed and labelled with the answers provided on the reverse side of the card. I have found the cards most useful for revising that tricky locomotor anatomy! The description on the box is of a portable set of cards. Although strictly true, I wouldn't necessarily want to carry them everywhere I go because the entire set is quite heavy.

I love these topic cards - great anatomical illustrations and loads of detail. They have names on the back as well, so they can act as flash cards!
