SplashGuard Has Changed My Life!
Do you ever spill half of the water in your water bottle all over your shirt and pants, making you look like an incapable child? Do you ever want to take a sweet sip of water as you're walking to class, but instead end up choking/almost drowning because a tidal wave of water came right at you when you tried to swig the bottle up too quickly? Do people ever look on at you with sympathy as you attempt to explain your situation of being the owner of the widest-mouthed water bottle in the existence of mankind?Looks like you need a SPLASHGUARD! You'll be glad you did.Never again will I look like an clumsy oaf walking around with a huge liquid stain down the front of my shirt and pants. Gone are the days of almost drowning when I try to take a cautious swig of water when I'm trapped in bumper-to-bumper rush hour traffic. Sure, the thing smells a little rubbery when you first pull it out of its little baggy. But give it a quick wash, plug it into the mouth of your bottle (it fits as snug as a bug in a rug), and bring it up to your own mouth for the most satisfying, thirst-quenching drink of your life. Prepare for that day, because you will never forget it.

I either have a drinking problem or it's hard to drink from the chalice without wearing it
These should be standard issue. I pop a spill guard in each 32 oz. Nalgene I buy. The yellow "smiley" guard doubles as a motivational device. The guard is designed for the standard 32 oz. bottle so make sure your bottle's mouth is comparable. It fits snugly—like a plug—and works as designed: The divot cut from the circle lets water pass. For cleaning, the guard easily pops out without degrading its seal. My brother pops the guard into the bottle and shakes it with soapy water, though I recommend a more rigorous scrubbing.

WARNING: DOES NOT FIT 48 OZ
I ordered this and was so excited because like most people I spill tons of water on myself day to day. Sadly when I received the product it was super tiny, and way to small to fit. This only seems to be a problem more recently, looking back at reviews from 2015, people with the Nalgene 48 oz waterbottle said it fit, so maybe its just a problem with the current design or distributor? I really wish it fit, but it doesn't and I cannot find one that specifies being able to fit a 48 oz wide mouth waterbottle.

other than that it was great, so if you don't mind the color
fits perfectly, only problem was the "clean air" color that is completely misleading. The photo clearly shows an aqua/light blue color, but when i opened the package it was completely white. Don't trust the colors you see here. other than that it was great, so if you don't mind the color, i'd say go for this one.

I am hydrated, and my face/shirt/pants are dry.
I've only been using this for a day, but it's been a crucial purchase for me. I'm a little clumsy because of my carpal tunnel (and just naturally too), so often my shirts would end up getting more of a drink than I did. This addition to my waterbottle makes drinking so much easier.Only gripe: The Clear Air isn't blue. It's a cloudy, opaque white, which ended up actually being a good thing for me. I'm much happier with the white one instead of some of the other options sold here. It would be nice though, from a consumer end, to know that I was getting a white one instead of a blue. But, it's a $7 piece of silicone that does its job and the color honestly does not weigh too heavily on my enjoyment and relief when I can actually take a Sip and not a Spill.Oh, yeah: I have a 32oz Nalgene.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Absolutely a must by for your nalgene bottles!
SERIOUSLY this is a game changer for drinking out of Nalgene bottles! Before I got this super cute Smiley splashguard if I attempted to walk and drink from my Nalgene I spilled on myself at least 50% of the time... I never do now! lol ... but seriously, you don't even realize how awkward drinking is out of a Nalgene until you get this and discover the ease of drinking! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I recommend them to everyone I see using a Nalgene!BTW I have had like all of the Nalgene styles (small opening, flip top opening....) and I think the traditional wide mouth with the guard is the best.

Great, except for peculiar initial smell/flavor
Works perfectly for the normal wide mouthed Nalgene bottles. The 'sky' color is actually whitish in person, and doesn't have a blue tint that I can tell. The only issue is that it smelled as though it had been stored inside a bag of mentho-lyptus (the blue Halls flavor) cough drops prior to being shipped, and the smell (thus flavor imparted to the water) was quite strong.. Very odd. I put it in boiling water for a few minutes which reduced the scent significantly, and it's only a little discernible now, so that's fine. Good product though.

This is a nonsense product
I don't really know why I bought this unless I admit to myself I got sucked in by some marketing. This product is well made, and it basically does what it's advertised to do (sits in the mouth of your nalgene and kind of slows down the liquid output), but there's no need whatever for anything to do this job unless maybe you're a small child. This is a useless bit of rubber that gets left in my kitchen sink, in my dishwasher, forgotten constantly and whenever I actually remember to use it, I almost invariably take it out of the bottle and put it in my pocket because it just gets in the way of drinking. I hoped it might be good for holding back ice cubes when I use them, but ice cubes will push it out of the way and then you have a way bigger problem than if you just drank like a human past the age of adolescence in the first place. I honestly feel dumb for having bought this.

Very useful product... should be sold with Nalgene flasks!
I bought this item as I saw a friend of mine got one and recommended it. It fits nicely in the mouth of Nalgene "wide mouth" flasks and stops you from spilling liquid all over yourself when drinking in a hurry or in a moving vehicle. It is easily cleaned and quickly removed to fill the flask in a hurry.I would definately recommend this product if you have a "wide mouth" Nalgene flask. No more embarassment or wastage :)

Excellent
I bought this to fit a 32oz (1L) Nalgene wide-mouth bottle. I would say this item is essential and as a previous reviewer says, should come as standard! The soft silicon is easy to take in and out and fits securely, making drinking from the wide mouth far easier - something I find impossible when on the move. Compared to other nalgene 'sippers' which look more like the opening of a soft drinks can, the curved opening and vent are very practical.Highly recommended.

No more drinking problem!
This does what it says it does, umm it fits any nalgene bottle and stops you from soaking your chest when drinking.

BAD SMELL, EXPENSIVE, FLIMSY & DIRTY- BUY THE NALGENE
Bad plastic smell. Very expensive. Late delivery. The soft sillicone can fall into the bottle. If you put the bottle in the freezer to keep your drink cold all day: this produces a big ice chunk that hits the splash guard when you drink. And the soft silicone does not resist the push as well as the hard Easy Slipper from Nalgene.I bought both this Guyot Splash Guard and the Nalgene Easy Sipper at the same time to compare: Nalgene Easy Sipper TWO for $4.72 - (+ quick delivery.) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0009G72TW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Bought from ALLOUTDOOR and sent in record time from the UK.Guyot Splash Guard $17 (slow delivery) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000TYFE76/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 bought from Outdoor Shopping Canada. (Sent from Brooklyn, NY, USA.)Abouut 10 days difference in delivery time. I SHOULD RETURN THE GUYOT SPLASHGUARD. (What a waste of money!)Drinking from the Guyot Splashguard feels a bit like sucking from a baby bottle. You feel the raised part around the opening in your mouth as you drink. Some people might like this as it guides you to find the opening with your lips in the dark. But then this part gets smothered in lip protector and feels dirty compare to drinking from the Nalgene Easy Sipper. Both fit perfectly onto my 48 OZ Nalgene bottle. The Guyot Splashguard is ot worth the money ($17 for one when you can get two Nalgene Easy Sipper for $4.) And who wants their water to taste as bad as this smells?Buy the Nalgene!

Complete Junk
I gotta assume most of these reviews aren't legitimate. This thing is complete garbage. The lip isn't big enough and gets pushed inside a nalgene. I feel ripped off and I "only" spent 4 dollars.Do NOT buy.
