Plantronics Voyager Legend Micro Usb Cable and Charging Adapter - Standard Packaging - Black

After purchasing the Plantronics legend headset and seeing that it came with a really really really short USB to proprietary charging cable I figured it would be good to see if I could find something as a spare so this fit the bill since I was only expecting to find third party alternatives. Low and behold I ran into this which is a genuine Plantronics product. As seen the best part is that the proprietary connector detaches from the USB Micro connection meaning you can use even longer cables if you wanted to charge at a desk where an outlet was behind it. It’s the same build quality as the supplied cable of the headset. At least now my headset doesn’t have to dangle like an ornament from the supplied USB wall charger that comes with the headset which I find odd that the original is that short. Otherwise you have to charge from maybe a laptop on a flat surface. This cable is two feet long which is perfectly decent and will probably be my primary cable while using the small short one at my job to charge while I work. Just about everyone has a USB Micro cable laying around so if you need something longer you can use it. It fits the Plantronics Legend perfectly, I saw some reviews that said it didn’t fit on a Voyager 5200 series too well and it appears it’s specifically for the Legend but I’m not sure about the so called Legend HD I’ve seen around for sale. But the versatility rating goes up since the charge head is detachable.

I received one of these with my original Legend. It was stolen and I nearly cried! This is an identical replacement and works perfectly! Pros: - charges the Legend from dead to 100% from any USB in about 45 minutes exactly like the desktop version. -magnet in the headset holds it in place for reliable charging as long as you don't bump it with force. - has loop to secure to end of a USB cable, cable lock, key ring, etc. (I'd use a bit of hot glue to keep the loop from sliding open because I'm paranoid like that. You can scratch the hot glue free with a fingernail if need be) Cons: - teeny, tiny, and black. Easy to lose it you aren't careful. This is a PRO from a design and portability standpoint. Only a CON for scatterbrained managers like me. If you lose sight of it in a hotel room, it's gone! - the thin rope loop is cool, but use your head about how you use it. On a key ring or such it isn't going anywhere. Just remember that on the end of a USB cable it can loosen and slide off. Conclusion: For a traveler this is a must have. Simply excellent!

I think the Plantronics is the best bluetooth I've owned but I am truly dumbfounded by the lack of a common, industry standard, micro usb charging port. Why would a company choose to force its customers to use a proprietary charging cable? Corporate greed? Anywho... I ordered this cable and It arrived quickly and works perfectly. The end that attaches to the device has a retaining clip to secure the device to the charging cable. THe original charging cable lacks this important detail. If you own the Plantronics bluetooth, search for the charging cradle. It performs a quick charge and is great for in car storage / charging.

I had no idea that the Voyager Legend was going to need a proprietary charger the same way the older Voyager headsets do. The rest of the world has moved on but Plantronics did not. It seems to me that they feel like there is more money in selling proprietary accessories than in selling headsets. The design of this headset charging system really sucks. The magnetic attachment is not reliable. THis particular implementation of the charging system is as good as this particular system can get. Having the separate headset-end piece that can plug into any USB charger helps. The price of this is not great but it's livable. I purchase several so I can have them in each place I need to charge including cars, suitcases, computer bags, home, office, etc. I have more money in proprietary chargers than in the headset itself.

This is the second replacement pair I had to get unfortunately I damaged the original ones. So I got another one it wouldn't connect to the Plantronics earpiece. The r new replacement magnetic was to weak and wouldn't make a connection to the charger section on the earpiece. I didn't send it back because they were only I don't know about $10. So I ordered another charger from a different supplier and it work's excellent the magnet is very powerful and I noticed that they have a charging storage case now for the Plantronics and you can charge up to two times it wasn't expensive at all so I bought one of those and I'll leave the magnetic charger or the charger case in the car. But then both feel very solid and they came in brand new packaging I bought them new so they hadn't been opened so the other pair I had the original ones last 3 years and it would have lasted much longer if it wasn't for my stupidity. The charger outlet is right behind my toaster and I didn't notice it was hanging down in the toaster when I went to use it and it kind of got cooked. So I'd highly recommend these for anybody first thing you do is make sure the magnets are nice and strong if it isn't send it back get another one eventually you'll get one with a strong magnet in it.

I lost my original charger that came with my Plantronics Voyager Legend, I order one online a few months ago and it did not charge my Voyager, after sending it back I was a bit reluctant to buy another charger but Plantronics charger was very overpriced, I order this one and it charges perfectly, not problems fits perfectly, charges with no issues. If you need a charger for your Plantronics Voyager Legend this is the one to purchase

Pedí este producto un dia 24, indicandome en la pagina de compra que estaba previsto su entrada en Amazon para el dia 28 y con el metodo de entrega seleccionado de 3 a 5 dias me indicaba que lo recibiría entre el 1 y el 3 del mes siguiente. Para mi sorpresa, 2 dias despues me llego por correo postal, con el embalaje en perfectas condiciones, solo dos dias despues! :D No se exactamente que habrá ocurrido, pero me alegro de que Amazon envíe los productos antes del plazo indicado. Respecto al producto, funciona correctamente, yo lo compré por el adaptador de carga, pero se agradece que tambien incluya un cable.

Es el cable original, mi headset Voyager Legend funciono a la perfeccion con este cable, lo tenia guardado porque se me perdio el cargador. En cuanto lo conecte me salio el aviso que habia una version nueva de firmware y mi headset se actualizo sin problema con este cable.
