Best antivirus protection you can buy!
I bought this product for my husband. He swears by Trend Antivirus software. He says it's so much better than Norton or McAfee since it doesn't tie up the computer and the computer runs faster with the same protection

I received the wrong item.
This is the first time it has happened but after waiting anxiously for my anti-virus CD, what came (without a packing slip) was a Star Wars CD! Wonder how that happened - they're not even related but the fact there wasn't a packing slip enclosed (like there always is) I guess that explains it! Now I have to order another anti-virus and return the Star Wars movie! frustrating

Works quickly and effeciently
Wanted an anti-virus program that didn't interrupt what I was doing and constantly interfere. Trend Micro does just that. You can schedule it to run checks when you want, it does so quickly and it still stops the bad things from happening without you knowing it's there working. Have had it a month and so far, so good.

Great Protection for a Small Price!
This anti-virus protection works better than some that cost triple the price. With each update there have been no viruses or threats detected. I recommended it to several Friends already.

Disappointed
This is my 3rd. Trend Micro purchase. Since installing it, my computer is slower than ever. Thinking seriously about removing it from my computer!

Be careful! Can be very hard to delete!
Note that this refers to an earlier version. I have no reason to believe the problem has been corrected, however. I don't want to be unfair, but have to share my skepticism about ANY use of this product. Beware, and be warned.I installed this product on a 27" iMac, my main professional writing machine. After a few months I concluded it wasn't doing much of anything except occasionally interfering with other software. Macs are just not as susceptible to various malware as PCs. I have had difficult viral infections on more than one pc in spite of careful use of the Internet, a Firewall and up-to-date anti-viral protection. So I am hardly complacent. The un-installation seemed to go smoothly. Afterwards, I did a quick manual check and then used Ccleaner and other software to remove any file remnants.A few months later I tried to upgrade to Mountain Lion. This was after the OS was well-proven. The machine exhibited fatal kernel panics at every upgrade attempt, and no-one could help. Apple gave me as much support as I could ask for, and numerous people gave me good online suggestions. When Mavericks came out, it was the same story. Total frustration.About a week ago, by sheer chance I examined a system report and found some oddly-named files and folders (clue: trend or micro appeared in abbreviated form) deep in the Library Directory. After running a few file names by Google, I discovered that de-installing this Trend Micro product could leave behind EXACTLY these files. Indeed, Trendmicro has suggested a solution on their website. This is fine. But what about the many days of wasted effort dedicated to making an upgrade? Or issues with other programs. Or all the hours spent in checking memory and peripherals to find e cause of a kernel panic? It took me over a year to FIND the problem! A search will show others have had similar experiences. In retrospect, these are issues that obviously might resulted from from an over-vigilant security program. But I had deleted that program as instructed!!!This software is not only quite unnecessary, but carries a built-in liability. Caveat emptor. Take it from someone who has been seriously burned. Finally I have been able to smoothly upgrade to the Mountain Lion OS -after the next upgrade, Mavericks, had already been released months earlier!

Long time user but continued trouble with install
I am a long time user of Trend Micro antivirus programs. I have multiple PCs that use this antivirus. I am very satisfied with the program once installed but each year I run into installation problems with at least one PC. This year was no exception. The application would not install no matter what I did. I finally called Trend Micro's help desk and after about 30 minutes on line with them I was able to install following their extra instructions. I hate the hassle every year but find the product to be very good. I've learned to plan that I will have to call in on at least one computer.
