Would buy again 13 out of 10 times.
I spent several months weighing the pros and cons of purchasing a simulator, and the quality of the one I would purchase if I decided to. As winter in the Northeast wore on, I found that I was becoming less enthusiastic about spending upwards of $7,500 for a TruGolf package, and began looking at the lower priced options like the new OptiShot 2.0 and the P3ProSwing. The reviews online were only partially helpful, as someone always had some marginally terrible thing to say about each product. The hemming and hawing continued. I decided to baby step into the process, and bought a turf mat and a hitting net for my home. Within a week I was back looking for a simulator package, the net didn't do enough. I finally broke down and bought the P3ProSwing a few days ago, got it installed yesterday, and I am thrilled with the accuracy and the quality of the product so far. I am a scratch player, and compete in regional tournaments at the highest amateur level on a regular basis, however, every winter the rust settles in and the swing deteriorates rapidly. Come spring prep time, it generally takes me about a month to get the swing back to 75pct quality. The P3ProSwing has already expedited that process dramatically. I find the club tracking to be extremely accurate, and while the distances seemed a bit outrageous at the first launch of the software, a restart and a custom profile creation dealt with that pretty quickly. At the end of the day, I am using this product to identify problems in the impact zone, and it seems to be perfect for that use. The hardware is built sturdy as heck, and so long as you have an elevated mat to stand on, I don't even think you need a custom inset mat for this. The graphics are not the shiniest you can find, and I will probably never play a single round of online golf, but for me this is a ton of bang for the buck.

Fore your info...
Unfortunately am running vista on our spare computer and had trouble installing. However tech support stayed over an hour past their closing time to perform remote support.Since the install success it's been a blast. Unsure if you're able to hit from a hazard or outside the fairways- have to drop ball

Disappointed
I thought I did my research and I decided on this unit instead of the Optishot. I have had the P3ProSwing for almost two months and have found that it is not accurate at all. At first I believed it was me, since it is the middle of winter I figured I was rusty and that is why my 9i, 8i, and 7i were all 10 - 20 yards shorter than I usually hit them. Then I started seeing that the actual ball trajectory didn't didn't match what the P3ProSwing was showing. Now I am not a scratch golfer so I will sometimes pull and push the ball, so when I see the ball flight of a pull and see that P3ProSwing showing the ball go out of bounds right I started to question the accuracy. I would also sometimes has a swing speed of 200+ and a distance of 450+ yards lol. So I went to the P3ProSwing customer service and they gave me several things to try. I tried them all, constantly using canned air, minimal lighting, uninstalling and reinstalling software and I didn't see any real improvement in accuracy. The final nail in the coffin is when I compared what the P3ProSwing showed to what the simulators at GolfSmith, the sim at my instructors shop and since we have had some nice days the actual diving range. I don't expect a $600 device to match a $25,000 simulator but I expect it to be somewhat accurate, the P3ProSwing is not. So I but the bullet and bought an OptiShot I have only had it for a few days but it is more in line to real life. It sucks that I can't return the P3ProSwing but hopefully it doesn't cost you $600 to learn the same lesson.

Nice product
Very nice product. Works well using Windows on a PC, but does not work on a Mac (even using a Windows OS running Parallel). One complaint I had about the product (which prevented me from giving it a 5 star rating) is that it did not come with an astroturf mat, as shown in the product pictures. Without the mat, you will be hitting off a hard black rubber surface. If you take divots or hit the ball fat, it would not be good for your clubs in the absence of an astroturf mat. Luckily, you can purchase an astroturf mat separately which would, undoubtably, raise the hitting surface even higher. Thus, you would have to stand on a board (or something) so your feet are at the same height as the hitting surface.

Great Sim
As a single digit handicap i spent a very long time searching for an affordable and accurate golf simulator. I considered the optishot but decided it would not be able to fulfill my needs in terms of accuracy. Eventually i found p3's website and decided to give it a try. It arrived well packaged and seem to be built with quality. As soon as i took the first swing i was impressed with the level of accuracy. One cool trick if you have an old webcam is to set it up with the software to calculate launch angle. This takes the accuracy level up a notch to put it nearly on par with professional systems. I do not use a projection screen yet but plan to add one in the coming months. the courses are very fun and can be made challenging at times. However as with all simulators, putting is a challenge and therefore i would suggest to turn the gimme range to 7 or 9 feet to prevent 4+ puts on a hole. Overall I am highly impressed with this simulator.

Does not work always as it would be expected. ...
Does not work always as it would be expected. Distances are not realustic. Also trajectory is not slway correct. From time to time sw hangs. However, it is usable, and their support is good.

great way to play in the winter
Awesome product, but you do need to have a pretty decent computer to run it, and keeps you swinging all year long
