Perfect product if you need it. This new inner housing unit fixed the problem, that being the unit would barely move around the pool...mostly just stayed in one place. I bought my Great White vacuum 8 years ago, and with some regular maintenance, it's done well and kept working. A few important notes: 1. VERY important: You have to change the band about once or twice a year. 2. You have to replace some gears when needed. For me, I needed a full gear kit replacement about 5 years in. 3. Be very careful when replacing gears. Take pictures before. Make sure you don't turn the unit upside down and have all the gears and springs spill on the floor. Did that first time. 4. Take your time. With a little patience and mechanical aptitude, you can keep this device running forever. The basic engineering design of it is quite simple and very impressive. 5. So replacing this inner housing, the main inner body of the unit went very well. The inner body unit came shipped with 2 small gears and the kick brush pre-installed. Just needed to remove and insert the other main gear and oscillator assembly into the new housing. IMO, the old inner housing areas that come in contact with the pool floor and walls wear out/down after numerous hours of contact with your pool, so the unit tends to stop moving or barely move due to too much suction. Replacing the inner housing with this new OEM housing completely fixed the problem and it's now back to 100% functionality. So if you have the time and patience, you can save yourself $100s of dollars by purchasing this product vs. buying a complete new unit.

Make sure you take yours apart first to see what's NOT working before you order - this is not ALL the parts, only what you see. I got lucky as one piece of this on my existing, the top piece where the vacuum goes in, one of the clips was broken. So, this happened to be just what I needed. y pool guy that I pay to service my pool told me I needed al lthe guts because the clip wasn't clicking - this was only barely the case, once I took it apart after my new piece was here, I realized what was going on - had I been able to replace only the top piece (there's about 3 pieces included, and a few more that are not) it should have been cheaper. I bought an Amazon return for $46 and saved $20 but really these pieces should be $5 each and the entire thing should be $25 new - getting all pieces replaced should be $40 or so. That being said, its' Pentair's gear, and a new one is ~ $300 or so, so replace those parts :)

It is a good product and it’s pretty easy to do .I’m getting long in the tooth so in my opinion instructions should be included in the package. I dislike having to find it on utube and hoping whoever does it knows what they are doing.Kreepy works like new for about $100 and a hour of my time

I found the replacement easy to install even though I thought there was a link to a how to video. I couldn't find the video, but it was easy enough to figure out by carefully taking apart the old one and noting how it works. It took apart an hour because I had to glue back on one of the screw receptacle pegs that broke off as I was taking the old assembly out. I also replaced the rubber skirt and recommend that also as they easily get worn out. It is now working like new.

My cleaner suddenly stopped moving and rotating. It would just stay in one spot or keep rotating but running within a small circular area. I first replaced the rubber belt seal (which was missing, probably for years). It did not solve the problem. I was about to give up and buy a new cleaner before I found this part. This part solved the problem completely. It is fairly easy to install. Now my cleaner moves around in the pool freely and randomly, just like new.This part only includes two wheel gears. You need four of them. You should examine the old 4 wheel gears and choose two that are least worn. Usually the ones that are closer to the center are less worn (due to the lower torque).
